Looking at the posts - at a time when we should all be united we're shooting each other rather than back at Bush.

1. Bushco is not omnipotent

I agree, their are more loose cannons in this world than Bushco, PNAC, and Rove.

Good they either captured Saddam, or held him until now to use him.

Either way, the reality of the situation is that the guerilla war is not over.

They can spin it all they want, but we all better keep on eye on what's happening domestically. This is where they Buscho & the GOP is going to try to screw the USA now.

2. I disagree
Right now, things could break in any direction in Iraq.

No matter how things play out, there is a Democratic Candidate who will benefit.

I've never seen a Democratic primary where we were positioned so well for how anything goes.

8. I wasn't clear
What I meant was all the infighting going on here in DU, and it being a microcosm for the US (albeit a skewed left one)

But I gotta admit, it didn't take long for the dust to settle and each side willing to buy the other a beer.

3. Yep your right
Dis-information is a major player on the part of inteligence

My father even commented on how the Dems are in such bad position politicaly and yet all they are doing is fighting between themselves. His comment was now the Repubs are positioned to take the whole thing.

Do you think maybe the freepers are enjoying these candidate attacks a little too much.

Its time for every one to contact the candidate of there liking and insist on some unity

5. People are panicking, and I don't know why.

Jesus! So Saddam was captured? Isn't that special? His crime was being a heinous dictator, but hell, most of the heinous dictators in the world are generously supported by U.S. dollars and our military/CIA.

No WMD's have been found. Saddam complied with the U.N. inspections. If Saddam committed crimes, we knew about them decades ago and did absolutely nothing.

And now I see where people are attacking Dean about his anti-war stance. Saddam's capture has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not this war was the morally right thing to do. I guess there's this pervading American mentatity that equates 'victory' with 'morality'. This war is still a stinking cesspool of moral degradation. Nothing has changed, except the Bushies can put their phony
'Bush Spends Thanksgiving With The Troops' photo-op in the can and replace it with the 'Bush captures Saddam' footage. If this convinces most Americans to vote for Bush for the first time, then we deserve martial law, endless war, economic and environmental disaster, and this stupid, stupid man to lead us into hell.

6. what is clear -- "they" do not want an outsider like Dean....now ask "why"
It's clear big business is against Dean and they are afraid...let the grass root efforts expose every one of these thieves in power and those supporting this nightmare.

7. You know, I'm inclined to agree with you.
Cynically, I see this 'capture' as an attempt to deflate Dean's sails, but it won't work. I'm likely wrong, but at this point, that's how it looks. The Bushies are nothing if opportunists, and they don't do anything without a reason. So I ask, 'Why now?' They could have captured Saddam months ago, but didn't. You have to wonder.
