Look at the big picture people. Saddam is caught = good, Boy George gets a boost in approval rating = bad but probably short term, Iraq remains a mess = which is why it will be short term.

Something the good Doctor might have problems equalling since he was busy verifying powder conditions while the General was becoming a General.

Then, he demanded transparency in the trial of Sadam. This has to strike fear into the dark souls of Rove, Cheney, and Rumsfield secondary to their prior complicity in matters of Sadam.

So, just exactly what did the good Doctor do this morning while the General was launching these preemptive attacks on the incumbent?

But I still fail to see why you had to turn this into an attack on another Dem. It would be easier and more productive to point out why Clark is a good candidate. Just like freepers Clarkies tend to get ahead of themselves sometimes with the gloating and opertunistic dog piling. When the smoke clears I think you will find Dean and other Dems calling for a real trial for Saddam OBL or anyone else we happen to get. It is also clear that this will not be a positive event for Bush ultimately as you can only claim victory so many times while the war continues without making people aware you are full of shit.

Elections are usually referendums on the incumbent.... If folks like the job the incumbent is doing they will rehire him; if not they will fire him.... Bush is no excpetion...

This election will turn on peoples perception of the "war on terror" and the economy...

We can only make educated guesses or in some folks cases, wild ass guesses of where it wil be....

I don't know who are more hopelessly naive: the sky is falling crowd or the we'll beat Chimpy in a landslide crowd...

I honestly believe that some of the "we'll beat Chimpy" crowd wouldn't make that prediction if their life or the life a loved one counted on it...

I have been on this board from about the third month of its founding. I just don't find the need, or the compulsion, to strive for four digits after my moniker.

A quality vs. quantity sort of thing, as it were. Besides, I have a real life which takes precedence over "post envy."

Except when it comes to recognizing that my party (of which I have been a member for forty five years) is again hurtling toward a cliff with a candidate who's gonna' drive us over it come hell or high water thanks in no small measure to a cult-like following which does not want to hear any opposition to their god.
