How many of you have been sent over by Rove....
Edited on Sun Dec-14-03 05:12 PM by TruthIsAll
to tell us now, that Saddam is captured, we don't stand a chance?

Go back to Rove. And tell him that we will not vote for Halliburton. We will not vote for Carlyle. We will not vote for the HMO's. WE will not vote for Big Oil.

We will vote for the candidate who is willing to stand up for the 9/11 victims who are fighting for the truth, like Ellen Mariani and Kristen Breitweiser.

We will vote for those who see the pain of the unemployed, for the millions without health insurance, for seniors who can't pay the bills. We will vote for those who will help struggling small businesses, and who will give hope to all those workers who fear losing their jobs, who have lost their 401ks, and will not forget those 51 million former Gore voters who will not allow their votes sink down a Diebold rathole this time.

So, go back and tell Rove to shove it.

And for those DUers who want to see a Dem the WH, stop your Saddam whining. We will win. Because we know the TRUTH about the criminals in this Fascist cabal.

And whoever gets the nomination is going to rip Bush a new one.

2. You really think they're gonna admit it?
Some of them it's only too obvious just by reading their crap. But, just like FAUX, I just report it.... you decide

6. As my sister says..."UH, THANK YOU!"...
Edited on Sun Dec-14-03 05:11 PM by Touchdown
as she's already figured it all out. Saddam was never the reason I opposed the Chimp. There are plenty of other reasons to oppose the Bush Junta, and plenty of reasons to feel good at what these Dem Candidates are going to do for us.

7. Optimism is great, but if we only had hopeless optimists in our party,
we wouldnt win many elections. The fact is that this does look good for Bush. And it brings up an interesting twist into things. Something we havent really had to face in a while.

What do we do if Iraq isnt such a miserable failure during the general election. What if theyve cut the casualties alot, have stablaized it alot, and have saddam on trial. That significantly hurts us, and especially certain candidates in our primary.

Its nice to hope that the truth and good guys win, but we have to be a little pragmatic in order to make that happen.

8. I don't know.
The Republicans are full of hopeless optomists, and they carry that optomism all the way to the ballot boxes, and into the Congressional Halls.

Being realistic, alert, and ponderous is one thing...but the defeatism on this board today is something else entirely.

9. Some republicans are cocky
thats because atm they have alot of power, but the core of the party is hopelessly pessamistic and paranoid. They still act as if the liberals are persecuting them. They arent sitting on thier hands confident that they are right, so they cant lose, as this thread seems to ask us to do.

11. I don't agree
Because this is a temporary lift for Bush and it's coming too early to help him any in the GE. The violence won't stop, Americans and Iraqis won't stop dying, just because Saddam is captured. This will be viewed by the American public as one more empty promise from the Bush Administration. And then they're out.

:dem:

12. Stop listing uncertainties as certainties
We dont know that this is temporary. We dont know that it is too early. We especially dont know that the violance wont stop. Stop acting like we are destined by fate to win. We arent. The american people are hopelessly manipulated at every turn. We have to claw our way into power, not sit around acting superior. What is with you people.

10. a Diebold rathole this time?
I don't recall Diebold having a negative influence for Gore in 2000. The infamous butterfly ballot is what appears to have caused the most rucus.

If I remember correctly it was one of ours that invented the thing.

13. There was one DISCOVERED problem
where the count from one county in Florida that used Diebold machines had -16000 votes for Gore (forgot the exact figure). It is in the Diebold memos, and it is true. That was rectified at the time. There is suspicion of tampering in that case. Who knows if less obvious tampering took place in other counties ? I suspect it did... Read the book by Bev Harris at blackboxvoting.org to get all the details. It's documented in excruciating detail and it is very professional investigative reporting work.

14. Bullshit
Theresa LaPore was a Republican who conveniently changed her registration to "Democrat" just a few months before introducing the "Jews for Buchanan" ballot. And a few months after the Coup, she changed registration again. This time to "Independent". Sometimes infiltrators can pass themselves off as Democrats successfully for a while, unfortunately :evilfrown:

16. right
and also this doesn't change the fact that the war was based on lies and the capture of Saddam really won't lead to any quick end to the bloodshed.

19. I really don't believe that the
bush* cabal is going to change it's goals just because they caught Saddam. This is just a diversion that will be dragged out as long as possible. Remember, their goal is to take over the entire Middle East, not to bring democracy to Iraq.

Man, the cable channels act like this is VJ day.
