The media will never be on the Democrats side. I've seen the media totally mould each candidates persona into one that can't win the GE, except for Edwards.

4. Educate the Public!

I'm sick hearing all the baloney about talking down to the public, avoiding issues the masses don't understand or that Republicans can exploit, blah, blah, blah. What it boils down to is playing games, and the Repugs can play games, too.

If we're truly interested in taking back America over the long run, we MUST educate and rally the public. That means putting massive amounts of information online in many different formats. Political chatboards like DU are great. More hostile sites are great, as are mellower sites. I'm working on a political site for children. Sites that aren't political in the least could join the cause by simply displaying banners that urge visitors to "Take Back America in 2004" or link to anti-Bush websites.

Candidates need to demonstrate a grasp of the issues - many issues. It can be done without overwhelming the sheeple. Simply give a traditional capsule view on the home page, then offer links to more detailed discussions for those who care. Every scientist who fears for his job or the environment should be made to feel that there are activists who are on their side. Senior citizens should note that many anti-Bush activists are talking about Medicare. Virtually NO ONE will tackle public education.

Just recently, someone posted the URL of a campaign website for some woman who's running for political office in South Dakota (Democrat). I visited her website, and I couldn't find any mention of any issues! How do these people expect the public to take them seriously if all they have to say is, "Hi, my name is Sue Carter, and I'm from Anytown, South Dakota. Vote for me!"???

There are some good anti-Bush sites online, but, in relative terms, they're really very rare. We need to control the Internet!

5. We Have to Bury Him in the Polls

Make it so that only the 29% who are totally brainwashed
will vote for him, and EVERYBODY else wants him gone.

Anything less and we'll get Diebolded or Z'ed.

If * sees his numbers dropping that low he WILL get desperate,
and will almost certainly manufacture another bloody incident.
It is the only trick he knows. Even a :nuke: might not be
enough to get him a majority, but he doesn't need that. He
only needs enough to make his theft of the election plausible,
or at least so that the military will obey him when he declares
martial law.

8. I agree

we must put our message out there. There is no other way. If the public knows the facts, not opinions, ours or the side of evil, but facts, they can make up their own minds. We might lose, but we keep on trucking. Eventually, the public gets it right.
