they just did their hourly news update, and described Saddam as "the man who waged and lost two wars against the US".

Do you remember Saddam waging wars against us? I remember us waging war against HIM twice, but can't recall him initiating somthing with us. Help me here.

1. I guess you could count invading Kuwait as "instigating" war

but it was mostly directed at kuwaitis, as I recall. And the kurds have a few complaints of their own. But as memory serves, he was mostly just placing ammo and weapons orders to the US - more like a valued client... Getting the extra bonus deals for large and bulk orders.
