This is the kinda guy Congressman Kucinich really is!!

Last night, house parties and fundraisers were held all over the country to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his decision to refuse to sell Muny Light while he was mayor of Cleveland which saved the citizens $200 million dollars and still counting.

The highlight of the evening was to be a conference call from Dennis to all the locations at one time. We waited and waited and waited. Finally the call came 45 minutes late. Why? The conference call number didn't work so he sat there and called every single location individually!!

He got the job done and recognized the hard work of his volunteers even tho it was an inconvenience to himself. Pretty representative of his career as the ultimate public servant.

I'm proud to say I support such a man.

Kucinich isn't my top choice, but I have all the respect in the world for him, because he has consistently backed up his words with action.

He is worth being anyone's top choice except a Republican and then I sat with one of the national fundraising chairwomen last night at an event and she used to be a Republican. She only changed her registration to support Dennis because his social platforms made the most sense to her.

I'd like to see him keep the job that he has now. We need all the Dem representatives we can get in the House right now. I don't think Dennis is going to be going anywhere.

I was at the party in Lexington, KY. And in response to all of the people who responded to your post with "though he's not my first choice..." etc. I will say this: you are such shitty Kucinich supporters you know. I mean, you agree with him and love him as we more supportive supporters do, yet you think you need to pre-judge the formula that will cast away the tyrant who defiles the same position held by Thomas Jefferson. Upon being asked what we should tell people like you, Kucinich said last night something like: "Tell them that if they never vote their heart, their heart never wins..." Pretty substantive I think. And damn right on.

Always the nice guy, aren't you? You sound resigned though. I'm not resigning. Dean and Clark supporters at the very least don't see who and what we're up against. They don't see how Kucinich, his efforts, his issues, and his supporters are thwarted, constantly, by marginalization in the media. And have been from the beginning in less obvious ways than the withdrawal of embedded reporters. They don't understand that the media is the enemy, really, that they distort the democratic process, and defile the system of beliefs our country was founded on. I don't care who was anti-war or who will be "strong" against Bush (as a stioc idiot is), these candidates don't address the single most important issue of our time, nor will they in the future: the corporate media is the principle cause of the destruction of our democracy. If they weren't compliant, it wouldn't be happening, Gore would be our president in the White House rather than our president suprisingly thwarting the Democratic process by trying to make his vote a million votes.

So I fight these people. And I'm not afraid to hold back. The sheep need herded my friend.

14. I aint giving up until he should withdraw

Holding the bridgehead so to speak, I share different ways of dealing with people than you, do understand that this saddens me as much as you but its a part of life. I havent given up. I can be just as big as a jerk as you can be, I assure you.

He really respects the people he serves. And he knows he serves them, and not the other way around.

I'm not surprised to hear thoughtful conservatives and Republicans support him. He has sane ideas about trade policy, and breaking up media monopolies. (Remember, the attempt to defeat the rollback of the FCC ownership caps was a BIPARTISAN effort.)

Kucinich is the only man with a plan of how to do that.

I would even venture so far as to say he's probably the first with a plan for anything.

At a time when many depend on rhetoric and platitudes to get people's support, Kucinich still comes through with details, and his thoughtful consideration of issues shows.


And to all of you saying you think he's the best but don't support him... please reconsider. Imagine what you could be a part of, if you only believed in and had the courage of your own convictions.

Do not take the counsel of your fears.

13. I heard Kucinich speak of optimism in the American political process

And it's been nonstop support since. He's begun a movement. One that I think might even get him the White House. Those who are supporters but not contributors to the Kucinich campaign need to wonder why, despite the corporate media sponsored polls, we still give and work hard, and believe that we ACTUALLY CAN WIN THIS THING! You need to believe in the American political process, and join the Kucinich campaign and defy the corporate class!

15. I have five videos

with about 8 different speeches and each time I have to pinch myself. Not only does he lay out his platform eloquently and with such passion, he never does dissolve into rhetoric. He tells you what he wants to do, how he plans to do it, and uses his congrssional experience to employ facts and figures on why it will work.

He amazes me every single time!!

All this while flying back and forth between D.C. and campaign stops so he doesn't miss votes in the House. He must be exhausted but it never shows.

pretty well represents how he operates and always has. Goes the extra mile for people because it's the right thing to do no matter how inconvenient it is for himself. :)
