Others would probably disagree though. I don't think I've ever seen the publish a story critical of Sharon or Israeli policy toward the Palestinians so if that fits with your personal philosophy you might enjoy reading it.

It is much further to the left and much better represents Israeli perspectives from boh sides (left and right).

It is also the largest read English language Israeli papers in Israel.

It has refreshing perspectives and great editorials and honest reporting.

I also recommend Tikkun.org for a balanced and left-leaning Jewish American Jewish/Israeli perspective.

The Jerusalem Post ran an article a few weeks ago that the US is restoring the Iraqui secret police to power.

It isn't so rightwing that it doesn't print important articles which may cause someone to question the US role in Iraq.

I third the recommendation of Ha'aretz. It's a good newspaper.

And mostly runs articles of complete idiocy.

However, it is quite useful in the sense that reading it lets you know what the right-wing in Israel (and outside, given the ownership) wants on the agenda in the United States.
