Has George Bush done ANYTHING you agree with?
Back at last year's SOTU speech, I was blown away when Dumbya announced $15 in aid to fight AIDS in Africa. I couldn't believe he had done something good. Sure enough, later we found out that his GOP thugs in the congress made sure not to fund the thing.

Every so often right-wingers ask me this question, and I honestly can't think of ANYTHING that hasn't been fake like the above.

Is the Saddam capture one?

Not that I want to prop up the chimp, I just wonder what to say when asked.

24. That anti-spam law
is more pro-spam that you would even imagine.

The antispam (spam-l) mailing list I belong to says it's the worst bill ever concieved and gives spammers free pass. This is a DMA-backed bill and it's no good. It even overrides California law that actually works.

41. I'm pretty sure I'm still free to dream about Dumbya's demise as I please
A person planning it or inciting it would be different.

Besides, i'm not capable of mind control. Dumbya did it because he finally realized what a phony he is and the fact that he's murdered 450+ men for nothing. He was wracked by guilt and rage at his puppet masters for manipulating him.

Again, only in my dreams...

I have refinanced my house, and no longer have any short term debts. Unfortunately for the first time in almost 10 years, I fear my job may disappear.

Kind of wish I had all that debt, and a secure job.

49. Be careful of that anti-telemarketing bill
The printing magazines are full of articles saying how good that anti-telemarketing bill will be for the printing industry--the people who would have hired telemarketers will now have junk mail printed and sent.

22. I have one but it may not be true.
I've thought about this before and really couldn't think of one thing but on Sunday, it was reported that he didn't go to church. Someone said it was because of the snowstorm (it's just across the street!) but one article read that the reason he didn't go was because he'd be giving statements about The Capture and didn't want his religion or his church attendence to be in any of the reports.

Who knows if it's true but IF it is, it's the first sign I've ever seen of any brain activity.

25. The "Saddam capture" is just a weird as all the rest of the right-
wing nut dangerous malarky. The first thing that came up was in regard to a trial for Saddam Hussein. I sat and remembered the great glee with which the media presented the bloody gore which they labled as "Saddam Hussein's sons" and the joyous celebration over the blowing away of a house and all its inhabitants to "get" these young men about whom it was said, "They were hated by Iraquis". No one ever mentioned that they should have been tried.
What were they guilty of? What power did they have? If they were "hated by Iraquis" how could they have led an "insurgency". Why were they not brought to trial? I don't think Saddam Hussein will come to trial as there is too much that could be revealed to U.S. citizens about what the usa has done to Iraq and its people over the years, the rest of the world already knows. I think he should be brought to trial but so should a lot of people, including many in this country.

28. lets see
he appointed the FCC people who have said using the F word on TV as an adjective is ok... that's cool

On that note, Getting rid of those Taliban f#*&cks was good (even if the follow through was poor)

Barney is a cool dog.

T-ball on the whitehouse lawn is good.

The 'Roses are Red' poetry to pickles - while evidence of his brain cell deficit - was still pretty endearing.

i like his constant talk about how islam is a good religion, that helps keep some of the scary faux crap in line.
