CNN is a bunch of lying scum bags,,,
I just saw a guy reporting on the fallout of Saddam getting caught, he said something to the effect of...

"Saddam getting caught is good for moderate Democrats who will do anything to stop Dean."

What total crap.

2. Of course it's utter crap...
...it's from the corporate media, who, as Bush himself said, had such a large role in pushing war. And it's from those candidates who have a position so 'nuanced' that they have to flail desperately to justify their actions as much as Bush.

4. Let's face it...
They gave us Bush for our President in the 2000 election...Al Gore
would have won by a landslide had they not bashed him continually.
The same precident will be set for the 2004 election - they will do
anything to have Bush win and go after any and all of our candidates.
The daily news will be filled with the usual rah, rah, for Bush with
little or no truth to what's really going on. The internet and
regular people, who's lives have been changed for the worse since he
became President are our only hope. The media will attempt to brain
wash us again - it's inevitable and a large force to contend with.
We just can't give up the fight no matter how frustrating it is.

9. No. They are extremely well paid prostitutes.
Who will coo sweet little nothings into the ears of the public to make republican policies appear proper, ordinary and normal....as long as they get their seven figure salaries.

10. We have seen this before
1) Lieberman and Clark did shake Kucinich hand after Kucinich told Ted Kopple this is what big media will get you.

2) Clark did tell a newscaster at Fox News not to tell him what he actully said.
http://www.foxnews.com/video2/player.html?4908&FOX_News_Live&Setting%20the%20Record%20Straight&wvx-300

3) Gore did beaten up by the media badly. Of course, would Michael Powell at the FCC be giving the media free reins to the airwaves if Gore were President?
http://www.snopes.com/quotes/algore.htm
http://www.snopes.com/quotes/internet.htm

4) The Ken Starr Commission and that nonsense (by the way, how much money was spent during this investigation? $100,000,000.00 or more?)

We have one more year of Bush and his giveaways unless he is impeached. We need to keep ourselves informed a to write our congress about the opinions we have. There is a FCC provisions attached to an appropriations spending bill that allows the media to “serve” (?) 39% viewing population. This is so Viacom (CBS) and News Corp (Fox) do not have to sell any of their stations. Many people have voiced their opinion on this matter, but still the force government (Democrats and Republicans both) is bent on controlling the information the public receives. The Bush camp wants the media to have a 45% viewing population, but will settle with a 39% viewing population and certainly does not want a 35% viewing population. We as citizens cannot expect an incoming administration to fix all of the damage of the Bush administration so we need to stay on top of this government.

12. I forgot to add
The reason Viacom and News Corp. are over the 35% viewing population cap is because the FCC (Michael Powell) gave these two companies a waiver because of the impending plan to raise the cap to 45%. There was very very little media attention given to this issue for one good reason. The media thought they could get away with it.

There is a good reason the airwaves are called "Public". They belong to everybody in this nation, not the few!

If you think this is bad, wait until he gets the nomination. There is no way that the repubs have even started on him the way they will when he is their direct opponent.

I hate to see people get so distressed already when it's just getting started.....prepare yourselves and be strong!
