Poll question: Should liberals get angrier?
We all know the stereotype of the bleeding heart, "love everyone" liberal. Should liberals - especially those in the media - start to show a little more anger directed at the other side, or will it seem to "whiney" as some have said in the past.

1. No. Ever hear the saying,..'Don't get mad. Get even?'
We need to channel our anger positively. We are not doing that.

3. To paraphrase a quote I heard yesterday...
reading and discussion while good are worthless without appropriate action.

Get angry, get active. Send a fucking email for christ sakes, tell cnn to cover the violence that happened at the miami protests or any number of the hundreds of things they aren't covering. If they think you'll care and you'll watch because of it they'll at least pay attention.

I've said it before I'll say it again. I'm tired of discussing whether or not what I believe in is right and it's making me angry. I am a liberal, what I believe in is right, end of story.

Get angry, get active. But remember the difference between anger and hate. I am angry about issues and with people, but I will not hate people for it.

8. We need to stop letting them define us
It is, after all, the pugs who call us "whiney". They are just attempting to deflect any impact we might have by our anger. Yes, get angry. Get angry over the deregulation of industry, the destruction of many years of pro-environment legislation, the wrecked, yes I said wrecked, economy. Even if it recovers, our good jobs are not coming back, the deficit will still be horrendous, and the minimum wage is still not a livable wage. The costs of healthcare and drugs is a "laugh". The dollar is getting weaker and weaker. The list of their destruction of our country is enormous.

SHOUT it from every corner of this land. The ignoramuses need to hear it over and over again before it sinks into their tiny skulls. We are too quiet and too nice. GET FUCKING MAD and LOUD.

9. Turn up the heat - righteous anger and hate rule!
I'm glad some liberals are FNALLY learning that it's OK to feel and display anger. Unfortunately, most are still hung up on the H word.

Get a clue, folks! ANY emotion can be bad if it's irrational, including love. Hate is just an intense, more durable form of anger, that can be a destructive force or a liberating force. Millions of people hated Adolph Hitler; good for them!

The argument that anger is bad for your health is also full of holes. In fact, you can ruin your health by keeping honest emotions bottled up. If you're a victim of corruption and tyranny, SPEAK OUT!

I also detect a lot of selfishness among the "Don't Hate" crowd. It's easy for them to argue against anger and hate when they're not being victimized. Let them get beaten during a protest, have their home stolen by the federal government or spend a decade in public education, with teachers union knives sticking out of their backs.

Bleeding heart liberals gave us Campaign 2000, Campaign 2002 and Campaign 2003. It's time for people with good hearts and minds and solid thinking skills to step forward and take this country back. If you value civility more than you do democracy, children or the environment, you're of no use to the cause.

12. Righton Jail and others here.!
Yes, GET DAMNED MAD!

How in blooming hell did any societies gain their freedom from whatever if not by militancy? It depends on the cause we are talking about. There is a time for passive resistance and a time to STAND UP, BE HEARD, INSIST, FIGHT, GET IN THEIR FACES. Stop coddling your peace signs and get out in the street with the liberal/progressive message. DO IT TODAY!
I'll vote for Dean or whomever wins the nom., I don't care anymore. Just so long as we get this narcissistic, egomanical Ivy League cowpuncher OUT.
I'm sorry, I don't like to hate as it causes stress in MY OWN life, BUT I DO HATE BUSH and company. That is because I earnestly, profoundly, unwaveringly believe that he and his "group" are the absolute end of Democracy as we know it. If he or his "group" are allowed to continue EVEN after they are out of office, we are headed for 1984 totalitarianism, the end of society as we've come to love it, and HELL for those christians who care to know.
I'm serious as a heart attack here peeps......

10.  saline said it for me,don't squelch your anger

let each fresh outrage add to the ever deepening pool of anger,
to be tapped at the appropriate time.

true righteous anger does not have to contain the element of hate
(guilt pruducing god-like judgement of others)and is a clean,nor-
mal and unavoidable reaction to the outrageous wrongs being per-
petually promulgated on our asses.

the anger might not get you thru the fight, but at least it'll
get you into the immediate vicinity where it's taking place.we
need anger!

11. No they should get smarter. The Repubs know how to keep their activists
loyal and allow everyone to get a little slice of the pie. We are much too much the ALL OR NOTHING types and what we are ending up with is NOTHING...funny how when that is of 50% LIKELIHOOD, it seems to happen with regularity.

13. Like Malone from the Untouchables said
We need to fight the Chicago way. To paraphrase:

"They pull a knife, we pull a gun. They send one of ours to the hospital, we send one of theirs to the morgue."

what we need is leadership and the only one giving any credible leadership that carries us above the noise and bickering is Edwards.

the people will figure this out by January. I'm only surprized its taken this long.
