Bush says he could back gay marriage ban...
http://story.news.yahoo.com/fc?cid=34&tmpl=fc&in=World&cat=Gays_and_Lesbians

This is something I truly believe should not happen. For marriage (which has a high percentage of failure between men and women) to define moral values to me is so blind.

However, my favorite part of the article is at the end when the author decides to put "fortunate enough" in quotes.

3. No problem.
It truly infuriates me to know that a group of powerful, white males can dictate what should influence family values.

Not that all powerful, white males are evil. Right?

4. Jesus Christ
If you want to protect the scanctity of marriage, why is divorce legal? Why do people of "noble blood" marry out of political and social convenience, but spend their lives in a loveless marriage (I'm looking at you, George and Laura)?

5. Common sense. Politicians lack it, repukes even less.
But that's how they want to waste taxpayer money. :eyes:

And for "could" read "will". Their deceitfulness is most angering.

and he supports a conservative system not an activist one that tries to make laws which isn't their job.

EDIT: I don't think he supports gay civil union either IMO. He may say that but will backslide on it...it goes against what he is all about...will loose him votes!

7. Dean or Kucinich will correct this in November
Gay and transgendered marriage will be allowed by federal law and the majority of Americans will accept it and embrace it.
