5. yes, of course, state primary polls count more than national polls |
and Dean leads in most of them.

7. primary polls have no bearing on a national poll |
different sets of electorates. Remember that NH poll last week of Bush killing Dean?

9. yes, "bush killing dean" is basically for the general election |
which hasn't happened yet. Also, at this point, clinton fared poorly against George H. Bush.

10. Clinton was stronger than Dean, and the son stronger than poppy |
I'll add that to a relative historic comparison.

LEADING WHAT? The Demo primary voters? Why don't those same voters look at how he fares against GW. That's the important thing.

16. No. It's true of any poll |
Few have set opinions on anyone. And they definitely change once a campaign dynamic begins.

6. Why this preoccupation with National, Media Driven Polls: Lieberman was #1 |
And, of course we dont' want Lieberman. The main thing these "image recognition" polls show is relative vague perception of who the media says in the winner.

8. Bad for my guy. Clark's fading |
I don't believe it. He's getting better on the stump and in the give and take. But he's suffering from Adlai Stevenson syndrome, too damn intellectual for elections.

"too intellectual" meaning maybe he was so full of himself that he didn't bother to adequately prepare.
