Ex Senator Bob Kerrey appointed to 9/11 panel.
I just heard on Mike Malloy that former governor Thomas Keane from New Jersey has commented that 9/11 could have been prevented. This from a Republican. Here is the article on Bob Kerrey.

1. Are you kidding me?
Do you mean to tell me that Tom Daschle appointed this guy. What the friggin hell is going on here? Does anyone else doubt that people have been bought off in our party? Tom, say it isn't so. If the information in this article is true then I think we need to force Tom to resign.

2. The thing that bugs me about Daschle.
Is the way he will go through a tirade in the Senate and call Bush's policies like the Iraq invasion is wrong or the Patriot Act is wrong and then does a 180 and votes along with the right-wing. This is how spineless many of the Democrats in the Capitol have become. It just ruffles my hide. There needs to be a change in the Democratic Party. Only sturgeons and jellyfish have no spine!

4. Bob Kerrey is not going to carry George Bush's water.....
If he thinks so, he has seriously miscalculated. He is an independent Democrat but he is no Republican. He will pressure the 9/11 commission to move forward. He will succeed where Max Cleland failed. Yes, he works with Repubs but he works with Democrats also. And he will wok against both of them if he thinks that is the way to go. I don't think he is deserving of the criticism he has received here on DU..

6. There are some extremely damaging things in this article Kentuck.
Anyone linking Iraq with 9/11 has to be seriously questioned. I'm not comfortable with this guy on the commission.

5. Kerrey was smeared by the Bushes in the past
I can't remember the reason - was he planning to run in 2000? Suddenly past history about an incident he was involved in in Vietnam surfaced. Re: whether he deliberately killed innocent civilians or not. The situation was ambiguous, but the timing was unmistakable. It was a classic BFEE smear, perfectly timed to kill the messenger. Who remembers what it was in response to?

7. Out of the millions of Americans, this guy!!!
Something is rotten in Denmark. Robert Kerrey is a want-a-be PNAC member. I get he felt bad about a Vietnam village and did a news story. In addition, Kerrey has intel experience. Max Cleland was trying to cut though the clutter. Thomas Daschle must have had his chain jerked by somebody.

I am an independent voter for very good reason, but the DNC needs a management shake-up by the stockholders today. Incompetence 101.
