2. Definitely
Clinton did more for anti-terrorism than Bush did pre-9/11. Clinton had Clarke make up the Afghanistan plan and Clinton would have run with it if he had another year to go. But Bush came into office and ignored the plan. Then, after 9/11... Bush uses this brilliant plan... which was actually done under Clinton's administration. I really wish Clinton would get more attention for all that he did during his administration. He stockpiled the vaccinnes. He wanted more anti-terrorism funding. The response? You are spending too much time on Osama. No, you cannot have more funding.

Argh.

5. Most of the details
are in the Franken book if you have that.

You could Google for: Richard Clarke, Clinton, Afghanistan

I think Clarke presented the plan to Clinton on Dec 20th and Bush took over in January. Clinton asked Clarke to create the plan months before.

HTH. :)

12. Is there an official copy of the plan?
On a us.gov site or us.mil site? Where did Franken get a copy of the plan?

6. Bush getting off his ass
and stop reading a book about a goat would have been a start. Hell pick up a phone and get our real national security going. Don't even say we only found two pilots in the northeastern portion of north america good to go. Only morans think you have to actual be on top of the passenger airline to take it out. People who understand what F15's/F-16's can do, don't.

Try to blame Clinton and please call him to answer any damn question you want but Bush must do the same.

I wonder what the Vegas odds would be that day.

11. nevermind
I'm especially impressed with how Bush pushed aside fears of his own safety on 9/11/2001 and walked the streets of New York City to witness the tragedy and recovery himself.

oh wait...that was Guliani!

nevermind :-)
