Bill Moyers NOW: Walmart Relies on Taxpayer Subsidized Healthcare
Yet more reasons to hate this company!$20.5 Million in California alone. Their poor employees can't even afford their health plan.

What is wrong with Taxpayer Subsidized Healthcare? Medicare, Medicade etc is all aboute Taxpayer Subsidized Healthcare. What exactly is the problem here (pretend Walmart is Ma and Pa vegan peanut cakes Mfg Inc.)?

3. They are a multi-BILLION dollar company
who can well-afford to offer their employees healthcare benefits, but make them far out of reach financially for the average Walmart employee. Hence they sent out bulletins with each Walmart associate's paycheck to apply for federal and state assistance with healthcare. That is a travesty because the company can well-afford to provide decent, low-cost healthcare to each employee.

4. dam this is really..well let`s see..
worlds largest business, world`s largest trucking company, and world`s largest employer. the walton family have a worth of over 100billion dollars. everytime they open a store or wherhouse they recieve huge tax breaks. they are directly responsible for massive lay-offs in the united states, they are responsble for poor labor conditions in most of the third world where they purchace their goods.
so, i guess it`s alright for a corperation of this size to get their medical benefits paid for by the taxpayers.
