I told you so..., they basically even look the same as us in terms of clothes and accessories. The bombing of Baghdad was basically akin to bombing some ethnic neighborhoods of NY. i.e. relatively near participants in western culture. They probably have Gameboy, Sony Nike, gold chains...

I thin they want to make you think that the people they are killing are some kind of barbarians, and so that makes it OK. They used afghanistan first to establish the image of the enemy - evil men who kept their women in burlap bags. Then they sort of blurred this racial frankenstrawman onto the Iraqis.

when the drug gangs are perforating proud but humble neighborhoods and innocents with their "business" competition issues. And the corrupt cops are not even trying to put a stop to that activity.

Not the answer you were going for but this drug crazed existance we have here (we're #7 with a bullet, pardon the expression, for homicides et al for cities our size which is to say ona per capita basis).

How about we declare defeat on the war on drugs, legalize everything, start reaping some tax benefit and eliminate organized crime with no more than the stroke of a pen ?

because they all know how far these sorts of weapons can penetrate. The architecture in the humbler parts of town do not serve to stop the bullets, especially the high calibre rounds generally in play.

And the cops DO shake them down in a lame attempt at appearing to do their job. May not army but just about as distressing. I hardly watch local TV news, its so depressing to see these poor people trying to come to grips with thier lives I just can't do it.

This damn war on drugs is killing people all over, making NOTHING better and costing a fortune. Its madness and it pisses me off no end (as you can see).

Sorry to rant but I guess it was time to come out.

15. i am from philly and i know how bad it can get

i used to drive by MOVE once a week... i've lived in some of the roughest parts of town as a kid growing up and believe me i know how bad it gets and i am not denying it gets bad BUT it is NOT a war zone... yet
