Libya's next!!
It's official the Libyan goverment hyas agreed to disarm. I guess they didn't see what happened in Iraq when you do what the BCF ask you to do:nuke: After you disarm they invade anyway. Ooops sorry Libya but, El cokehead loco needs to get his photo op's in. If you have loved ones that are in the military tell them to get out or look forward to "Operation Independent Libya." Because I think Libya has oil in which the Bush Crime Family wants:(

11. I think they're talking about "Hot" as in "Unstable"
Then again the land the British named Iraq has always been. The last democraticly elected leader they had was almost asasinated by our CIA. So our CIA did the next best thing. They overthrew the govermnent and put in the Baathist thinking they'd get another Tito Marshall in the middle east. Man the CIA sucks:puke:

5. Don't be a spoilsport, Myra
There are plenty of nations -- all just full of brown people -- that we can bomb the holy living shit out of, and I'm sure that PNAC has no intention of bombing just two or three.

9. Yes they are!
Every person that they call "Sand Niggers" is on their hitlist. The only good Arab or Muslim is a dead Arab or Muslim. If you live in any Arab or Muslim nation I'd watch my ass because if you don't the BCF will blow it off:(

7. Squatch, you're not making any sense
If they get the oil without invading, they don't bother. It's clear that Bush has scared the already out-of-player-status Libya into folding up its tent and knuckling under to our hegemony. Of course I doubt Muammar is gonna stay quiet for long, but he's long been a beaten man. A take down there would go a hell of lot more like Afghanistan than Iraq.

Still, it's hard to see how this does anything but help Bush get reelected.

13. You don't think Libya disarming is a good thing?
I know we all hate B*...but this is a good thing. If this had happened 4 years ago we'd all be celebrating. Libya to me is worse than Iraq ever was, although Syria seems even worse than both of them. As much as I hate to admit it, this is obviuosly a direct result of our actions in Iraq. At least SOME good came out of this mess.

14. I can help you on the "hate to admit it" part.

Gadhafi has been on this campaign to shed his pariah status since at least early '99 (actually earlier) and had been making arrangements on Lockerbie long before the Iraq War.

Trying to shed pariah status, Libya warms to West

The US may consider removing Libya from the list of sponsors of terrorism.

Scott Peterson
Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor

TRIPOLI, LIBYA

Some are calling it Libya's own perestroika. Others refer to recent events as a change of heart designed to erase Libya's image in the West as a terrorist state.

The goal? After decades of erratic, troublesome, and militant anti-West behavior, Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi wants to shake off his pariah status and be taken seriously as a regional leader, diplomats and analysts say.

"He wants to change, because the world is changing," says a Western diplomat in the Libyan capital, Tripoli. "We in the West look at Qaddafi as a bad guy wearing a black hat, and now he wants to be a good guy wearing a white hat. We don't know how permanent it is, but step by step are trying to clear the way."

The catalyst was the handover last April of two Libyan suspects in the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.
