Does this upcoming election year seem
incredibly tense? I have been voting in elections since Reagan/Carter and this upcoming year has to be the most intense year I've ever experienced. Between terror threat warnings, the color coding chart going up and down between yellow and orange, and the constant nail-biting moves that this administration does to drag us further into the 18th century, I may have my first full-blown ulcer! There is so much at stake in this election. The right-wing is desperately trying to hold on to Bush and they will pull out ALL the stops, in the meantime, the Democrats are arguing on who to run against Bush. This is most definitely the most intense election year I've ever experienced.

Your thoughts?

1. I was a young lad in 68
and that year was hectic. However, I agree that the right wing fascists and their win at all costs in 2004 attitude have made America a tense and often ugly nation. I sincerely believe they have no use for the Constitution because it dares give rights to all. Therefore, I am in the win at all costs mode. I strongly believe, (and will fight for) the election of a democrat because such a victory would be good for all Americans. If bush wins, it will only be good for fascists who parade around as god fearing conservatives. Yes, My Fellow American, you are right.

2. I was
young too in '68 and I remember it being caotic because I had two older sisters who had friends in the war in Vietnam. It seemed tense, but for different reasons. Now knowing why we went to Vietnam (purely political reasons) makes me understand WHY there was so much caos. This upcoming year just feels different. I watched Bush slaughter Ann Richards in Texas with a filty dirty campaign and lived under his governorship (if you want to call it that) and I know what these crazy bastards will do to win.
