Some of you have wondered why the media give Bush a free ride, well he is in favor of letting parent companies of media conglomerates screw the environment and is in favor of deregulation , which means millions more in revenue for them. It falls under you scratch my back I scratch your back category. Of course there are more reasons like the owners share and serve the same interests but we will save that for the Manufacturing Consent discussion that pops up here every now and again.

Here is the song that was removed from the re-airing of a Saturday Night Live show from March. Most likely, NBC's owner, the $80B GE corporation, didn't like the truth being told on its own network. I typed this in from my printed copy of the The Nation.

They try to put down media critics by linking them with JFK conspiracy theorists (perhaps the cartoonists thought they could impress the boss) and even make the idea of physical interference in programming seem silly...

Then GE does its thing. I guess the facts they mixed up with the sillyness in that piece were a litle too uncomfortable for GE anyway.
