New "I hated France before it was cool!" shirt
Here is the latest in Anti-french bigotry. The Steel Cage is selling a shirt that says "I hated France before it was cool!", which fits in very well with much of the bigot infested crap they sell.

What gets me is that if France had been for the war, this shirt would never have been produced. Don't these cretins have anything better to do?

Am I the only one who is sick of this anti french stuff. The whole concept of Freedom Fries made me throw up.

4. anti French crap is everywhere.
Just last night the stand up comic Jay Mohr was bad mouthing the French..We have Canadian ancestry but we are Frachophiles.I have been on bike tours of France three times. We host French exchanges with students/hosts. The French do not hate us..The stories I could tell of my bike tours. Would Spend too much time going into detail of the kindness, I have experienced..The French country people are called the salt of the earth. Just talking to them, their grasp of the world is so much better.
As to the whole issue of the French smelling. That is crap also.If anything they smell because they are big on perfume or cologne. we expereince body odor no more, no less than in the U.S.Now the Germans, that is another matter.
I actually think this anti - French stuff originates from two sources. First of all, they completed their revolution in 1787. Equality is a closer concept there than here. Equality here is far less developed. And after the US Revolutionary War, our land owning class heirachy began to dump on France due to the success of their revolution in developing a sense of liberty and equality.
Their music, food, culture. We we have to go around bashing another country the way we do France, I think it is their food, culture,& wine. We are actually envious.Deep down... They have a true sense of humanity.. They helped to write the "Rights of Man." now, sexist.?
I was so taken back when I visited their ministry of defense. The other arch on the other end of the Champ d' Allez. Over a flame is listed the 'Rights of Man'..We are such hypocrites. They are far less so.
Call it what you want. Our plastic food. We have no culture. All mass produced. I call it envy.

5. I had a lovely French brunch today.

Chevre, Oeufs, Parisian ham, black coffee, fresh baked bread, and Champaign.

F*ck the freepers. Let them die of heart disease and hillbilly heroin.

8. But there's another way to take that statement....
Mind you, I know the shirt is supposed to be saying that the person wearing it has ALWAYS hated France, but if you consider it differently it could be saying that the person likes France now because they've become cool.

Be sure to ask anyone you see wearing the shirt if that's what it means. Bet they'll reconsider wearing it anymore.

11. James Carville's speech was shown on C-Span again this morning
In it, he demonstrates the ultimate problem with the current misadministration, the reason they must be removed from power.

He first reminds us of JFK sending his envoy to France during the Cuban missile crisis, to meet with the French prime minister. The envoy describes what's happening and offers to provide evidence; he's brought some aerial photos of the missile sites in Cuba with him. But the French leader tells him he can shut his briefcase, he trusts JFK, the envoy's message is all the evidence he needs to have France's support.

Now contrast that with the current occupant, who can't convince anyone even with its phoney "evidence". No one trusts America anymore. Bill Clinton could journey to Northern Ireland and travel around like a normal diplomat, but this turkey has to be in a bubble everywhere he goes.

Clinton earned the respect of the world for his shrewd and sincere diplomacy. Bush has turned us into the ugly Americans once again.

12. they call it the culture wars

I think there's something to it. Whatever they hate, I love. They hate the French, I love the French. No matter where I turn, whatever they love, I hate. This goes for everything from SUVs to food to countries.

Cher

p.s. those designs are of poor quality. Anybody could put that together; it has no cleverness or creativity to it at all. "Eat cat." Isn't that funny. My sides are hurting, I'm laughing so hard. :eyes:

14. wacko's.
Cheerful..We live in a wacko Marine kind of town..Outside our grocery stores and even in the streets at the start of Dubya's war, you would see wacko's yelling don't buy French.
At protests we flew French flags, had signs, "suffer, buy French."
Remember when the Clinton haters disrupted the country with the Impeachment crap.( That actually started years before Lewinski) There were stories about two America's and two cultures..
I think it true..We have very little to do with those in the provincial/regigious fanatical America. (I define those,if you do not belong to my religion, you can't be a good American.)The idea that there might be a need for 9 American countries is likely. I certainly have no need to connect with these close minded people.
