Poll question: When Bushbastard* allows another terror attack to occur and Tommy Franks
shoves the Constitution master document into the fireplace to burn, replaced by a military dictatorship, what will you do?

2. Can someone please explain this to me:
If our "President" fails in his duty as Commander in Chief to protect us and there is a significant terrorist attack, why does that FAILED OFFICIAL then become a dictator under martial law instead of being removed and replaced by someone COMPETENT?

5. Because we're the American public and have been raised to think that way

Admiral Kirk didn't put up his shields in Star Trek II despite knowing regulations, caused the deaths of many by overlooking said regulation, and got treated like a hero in the end too. In reality, (well, in theory it seems these days :eyes: ) he would have been court-martialed for negligence and manslaughter, if nothing else.

Bush is no hero. He is no leader. Indeed, Kirk was just feeble. He had no idea Khan was coming. Bush had advanced notice of those goons coming and decided it was nothing to be worried about. Talk about real presidential action... NOT!

9. Funny you would bring up Capt/Admiral Kirk....
he's one of my fictional heroes. I guess hero worship can get you into trouble.

The ones with money will leave the country until it is forbidden.

...
outside the U.S. embassy in Saigon?

that may be the way to go.

10. Tommy Franks is a traitor, and deserves a traitor's fate...
Edited on Sat Dec-20-03 07:43 PM by arcane1
for merely suggesting such a thing.

in the good ol days a man like Gen Franks would face a firing squad. instead he's a fucking hero...

and when he gave that little speech, my first thought at the time was: prelude to LIHOP2.

:grr::scared::mad:

14. Quite!
Instead, the American public gave this merry band of traitors carte blanche.

Bush is no leader. People are geniuses for wanting to be led.

12. Now that I am single(my husband died recently,) I can fight
the ba****** with everything.I don't have another person depending on me for life support, so I can go to jail or use my second amendment rights to defend others or do whatever's necessary. And don't mess with me; although I never got to the Master level with pistol, I did make Expert.

15. The borders will not close.
You can always get out. You may never get back in-and you may not be allowed to STAY in either Canada or Mexico--but the borders can't close forever, nor can they remain closed for any thing much beyond 24-48 hours. Our economy can't afford it.

If you are serious about leaving the US the msart thing to do is figure out where you want to get to and then make arrangements first.

Now, having said that, I felt much the same way when Ronnie Raygun was looking for a second term--and I seriously considered leaving then. I didn't--and I lived thru it. WE ALL lived thru it.

If it comes to it that we have four more years of this asshole--then we'll ride it out.

Just my two cents.

Laura
