why are we there now?
are we there so that Halliburton can make a shiteload of money off reconstruction contracts after Cheney made sure we invaded without any proof of WMD?
are we there so that Bush could look tough and win support from Americans who are uninformed about our previous support of Saddam...and obscure the connections of those in his administration at this time with the arming and support of Saddam when they decided...without the consent of America or Congress...to do so?
Why do we need to stay in the country? To avoid a civil war? Is that possible?
To make sure Chalabi has enough time to get his newspaper in place to spin for the neo-cons and serve as their puppet? (that assumes the Iraqis would ever go for this...they are far wiser to this whole scam than Americans are...and wiser than the Bushistas too, since they think they can pull this off in the first place.
if the goal is to get people to disarm, ala Libya, then wouldn't pulling the troops out of Iraq make that scenario more plausible?
or can Bush leave before he's privatized the oil? --or will Iraqis not "just say no" to Bush's oil addiction?
