the real reason for Code Orange?
Edited on Mon Dec-22-03 06:03 PM by buycitgo
http://www.sundaymirror.co.uk/news/news/content_objectid=13746358_method=full_siteid=106694_headline=-BUSH-AND-BLAIR--THE-BIG-FALL-OUT-name_page.html

in which you'll read the following:

"TONY Blair and George Bush's love-in has collapsed over the rebuilding of Iraq.

The two leaders have fallen out over plans for the reconstruction of the country and the heavy-handed action of American troops against the civilian population. And the rift has been deepened by a Washington ban on a proposed morale-boosting visit by the PM to British troops in Iraq during the Christmas holiday.

According to diplomats, relations between the allies have gone into "deep freeze" since the capture of Saddam Hussein last weekend.

petty, vindictive litte moron revealed once more:

President Bush was incensed that Mr Blair stole Washington's thunder by being the first Western leader to confirm that the former dictator had been arrested by US troops. Downing Street rushed out Mr Blair's announcement before he had spoken to the American leader early last Sunday, when Mr Bush - six hours behind London - was still in bed."

haven't read, heard, seen anything about this anywhere else, including here.

did I miss it?

1. If true, unsurprising
Our Baby-Boy Fuhrer* would indeed be very jealous if one of his playmates displayed the Frog Blown Up With Firecracker to the class before Der Fuhrer had a chance to do so.

4. yes, true as toast.......
btw, what's that name you gave the handmaidens?

rightwing submedia.....forgot the first part.

also, this is a perfect example of Government by publicity stunt, and its self-revelatory (needlessly) downside, doncha think?

see header, in which, you'll find this:

the art of governing has become the art of producing publicity stunts. And a really good policy maker is a guy who can come up with an engine for producing a long chain of publicity stunts that seem to follow logically from one to the next, based on some kind of principle or other. Like "family values" or "the strong, independent American." Or "Jesus is Lord." Or "poor people just don't have what it takes." Or "War on Terrorism."

2. actually, I sorta believe this alert, BUT..........
they've cried wolfowitz so many times, that many people aren't buying it at all, hence the overwhelmingly negative response to CNN's question as to whether the alert system is effective

and orders the troops home, he will truly have found his spine

For the moment he is just crying
