We at DU are massive consumers of propaganda.

We read every bit of progressive propaganda and analyze conservative propaganda to death.

But the latest propaganda is more subtle and harder to recognize. It passes itself off as letters to the editor in newspapers around the country. It passes itself off as posting on a message board. And Maybe it even passes itself for current events.

For example, are we supposed to believe through Kobe, OJ and Michael Jackson, that all black people are really just rapists, murderers and child molesters just waiting for a chance?

How does this play into the right's position that minorities are to be ignored? Just a coincidence that these things have happened and gotten the media play they have received? How is it that OJ happened to have a racist friend of Lucianne that was accused of planting the bloody glove?

Does Astroturfing go beyond words into the creation of synthetic events? Events that teach us moral lessons about the nature of the universe?

Are we being hornswoggled?

Better question, why wouldn't they try to do this? They keep talking about a revolution and "changing people". What better way to go about it then changing peoples beliefs through gaining their confidence in events that they have "witnessed"... If you had the motive and the means - secret organizations at your disposal, why would you?

Was that what 911 was? A new Pearl Harbor to get us to go to war?

Yeah, we really are being bombarded by propaganda, most of it being what is called rules or mores of our culture, I guess.

You should for how race was used by the elite in the past here in America in order to squelch the formation of a Euro-style welfare state.

I myself and many of my fellow immortalists/cryonicists have often wondered just how and why propaganda/culture works to condition people so that they do not want to live forever.

I do not think many actual events are staged for propaganda purposes, however.

Most of the information reaching you has passed through multiple filters and has been censored half to death. That is the reason why it is so very difficult for any one of us to know just how much we are being manipulated.
