Nightline is doing Mad Cow Disease.
Even if 500 sick animals coming in...the amount that reaches the human food supply is extraordinarily low (Harvard study).

Rebuttal: Harvard study assumes feed rule compliance. There are high levels of non-compliance. Other countries that have found one case have taken far more stringent...

Ban the feeding of animals back to animals.

Wait. We haven't done that? Are we nuts?

1. An interesting quote, "Even if
500 sick animals coming....extraordinarily low." I wonder how those 500 people who end up eating meatballs from those diseased cows would feel about that statement.

Even ONE mad cow-infected beef is too many. We should have zero tolerance of this disease which turns your brain into a sponge. If I were a carnivore, I'd be pretty upset right now, sending worried thoughts to that steak that's laying on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator.

Should I? Naw, better throw it out.

At my office, I'm kind of an exotic person because I do not eat meat. I told them 2 years ago that I did not feel that beef and pork was safe to eat. I wonder if they're thinking about me now?

4.  Did they say anything about
whether or not the white sugar refining industry
still uses (sometimes) charred beef bones to turn
the stuff white?

Not just the US sugar industry?
