You'll know what I mean when I say, in the early days of treatment, the thing I feared most was down time. Getting bored. Thats when it comes back. When you have time to really sit and think. I think he's terrified of too much time to ponder his situation. He might take a hard fall off the wagon.
What a sad, empty and spiritless person he must be.
