12. I don't think she's been as bad

this morning as she's being portrayed here. I've certainly seen other right wingers (and Lucianne herself) be MORE vitriolic. She's not crazy about Democrats but that's to be expected. God knows I hate to defend her, considering the Linda Tripp connection, if nothing else.

In discussing Dean's religion, she detailed his religious heritage but concluded by saying that he said yesterday that he was committed to Jesus and she thinks we have to take him at his word. I saw no sarcasm or cynicism in the way she said that, either.

She just said she would love universal health care but doesn't think we can afford it, probably because she supports the huge Pentagon budget. I disagree that we can't support it but am surprised she voiced support for it.

Now she's saying she likes Ann Coulter personally, but doesn't agree with the way she does things. I found the latter comment interesting.

She supported a disabled veteran's comments about not having adequate health care.

I still don't like her politics but she hasn't been as unpleasant this morning as I'd feared. I was ready to turn her off but she hasn't said enough to ruin my Christmas mood. ;-)

22. My God, Did She REALLY Say That???

I used to post on Lucianne.com, expressing a liberal viewpoint, until I got thrown off a couple of times and banned. There were numerous daily threads expressing the vilest hatred for every member of the Clinton family---including Chelsea (the threads about her were enough to make you ashamed to be a human being). Some of the comments were so ugly and threatening in nature that I finally posted a comment speculating on whether the Secret Service ought to be monitoring the site---that's when I got banned. I was a little ticked off about being tossed out, up until the day sweet ol' Lucy used the editorial portion of the site to advocate the renewed use of the word "pickaninny." (Trust me, I am not making this up.) Ever since then, I have viewed my banning as one of the greatest honors I've received in this life......

I switched the channel and my husband commented that he was surprised I'd listened to her. I said what I just said above, that she wasn't as hateful as much else I've heard. Where she said that the terms Left-Right were not useful anymore, she related this to NIXON, with the implication that he was hard to pin down, or at least not wingnut enough for her and hers. She was referring to social programs ('member, EPA, China and other came under NIXON), not to his core scoundrelism which is vintage wingnut.

But to the post above saying that the witch (not talking Wiccan here) was not so bad this morning, I suspect the screener was earning his/her battle pay. Other times she's been on C-SPAN she has gotten lambasted by our callers; this time, NOBODY got through. Other times LAMB has literally agonized and defended her over those calls.

19. I love her comparison of Clinton to Bush hatred

First off- I heard on C-Span that Dean's anger is more or less elevated passion, and I agree. I am not a hateful person, but I am angry and I have been since *'s first day in office. I am also not ashamed of my anger, as Bush is clerly anti-human. I have been waiting for the process of ousting the squatter in the Oval Office to begin since day one. There is nothing wrong with being angry with Bush and wanting to get this show on the road.

Regarding her comparison of * hatred to Clinton hatred..."We had evidence to support our hatred of Clinton." (!!!)

The entire Bush cabal is or has been involved with criminal activities of some sort, including his blood relatives all the way back to Prescott, but to cite a *very* minute example of this hypocrisy that she is so senilely blind to- HOW many times did we hear about Whitewater vs. Neil Bush's S&L crimes?!?

Susan McDougal served over a year in jail, yet we hear nary a word regarding Ken Lay... :argh:

Watching her and listening to her ,I guess I heard what I expected.The ramblings of a narrow minded b#%&* ! When she said Clinton never had to put up with the kind of hatred bush does ,I scrambled for the remote and changed the channel quickly ! Where do these peole come from and what planet did they live on during the eight very successful Clinton White House ? Howard Dean is 'an' antichrist. He loves Jesus about as much as he love George Bush (his neighbor). Dean is not THE antichrist because he has only fooled 30% of the people 66% of the time. The real antichrist will fool 66.6% of the people ALL the time.

It's obvious Dean doesn't believe in God. God's word says He (God) will not be mocked (used for self gain, spoke of flippently, otherwise shown disrespect). He (God) also says to not use his name in vain (for no good reason or disrespectfully). Dean breaks both these laws. God will deal with him. As a believer, the fact that God will deal with Dean should be good enough for me. However, in my weakness, I'd love to watch him squirm.

I just finished watching the archive with LG and the stuff this woman was saying on this show was truly amazing. All I could do was shake my head. But if you really think about it, if it wasn't for Monica and Linda yaking on the phone talking about Monica's love affair with the former president, LG would be doing what she was doing back then...some literary agent or something. Before that she was never on tv and didn't have her own website. She is only on tv every now and then because of the former president's dick.

31. A disturbing comment

I saw only a couple of minutes, but she did bring up "what if something happened to Howard Dean" and the universe went in a different direction and one of the other candidates got the nomination (she mentioned one but I'm not sure which, maybe Clark). This brings to mind the fear that some have about Dean's personal safety (or whichever of them would be the most dangerous to the BFEE). Question: have you heard any of the others of her ilk make similar remarks that might suggest to an unbalanced follower that an attack on one of our candidates might be a good thing?
