Will *Bush face the economic "Perfect Storm" for the election?

The diving dollar, nobody wants our beef, a stock market that inflates every day but has no basis in expansion, low interest rates that MUST increase, the real estate bubble that is already starting to deflate, the credit bubble that threatens most of us.

You can probably add more of your own.

My point is that we seem to be looking at a time of economic negatives that may combine into the "Perfect Storm" for the paleocons. If the administration is planning to run on a 'stay the course' platform, they may be trying to convince us to step off a cliff, and it's doubtfull that the people will buy into that if what seems to be happening is true.

How about it, you economic and political gurus. Am I right?

Look at what's happening now and tell me where I'm wrong.

1. IT's Always the Economy
And Greenspan is the man to watch. He pulled the plug on Gore, intentionally, and I believe he regrets it today, but there's no point crying over spilt milk, is there? After all, his money is in Treasuries only.

I anticipate a lot of spinning in foreign policy. It's impossible to spin economic policy because everyone sees the truth in a matter of weeks. More terrorism (self-inflicted) and alerts, more incredible evidence which is nothing of the kind.

The really perfect storm will include a lot of pressure from other nations. They are really pissed, and they can do it. It should be one for the history books.

2. add the raised expectations
I think all this recent hype was a desperate attempt to create a boffo Christmas, which appears to have failed.

Now, the hype could backfire, people were promised a solid 2004, by the election they could be thinking "hey, where is it!"

3. The dollar
The dollar has been falling relative to the Euro. Pretty danged funny that our currency is doing worse than "Old Europe's."
