The State of the Union ~~ Terrified
Do you think Bush* will stand up there and tell us the State of the Nation is Strong? When President Clinton said those words they were true. Since Bush* oozed his way into office the state of the nation has been miserable. He is a miserable failure in keeping the state of the nation strong. He terrifies people constantly. How to keep two totally opposite ideas in one's head at the same time and think both are true. GOP spin. We are strong so terror alert is only orange today.

3. He'll never admit his lies
and if he does, I'd be very surprised. I'm not really looking forward to it, but I'm sure there will be a lot more lies in this one.

5. Sadly Tom DeLay and Bill First are doing a great job...
Of helping him get re-elected. He's gonna have a lot of "good things" to talk about in the State of the Union.

bush will simply read...
whatever the tele-prompter tells him to read.

(Wish I could hack the tape!): 3 min's of the usual crap, then, "The sky is greener today because of the mercury we've allowed into the atmosphere. The Tongass is being denuded with YOUR tax dollars! YOUR money, TOU worked hard for it, WE gave it away! There never were any casualties coming back from Iraq, that is why I had to have those soldiers beaten back here in the states, and those coffins were filled with Iraqi sand. Finally, my gellow Americans, I DO have testicles, and they ARE larger than grains of sand!".

In reality, just watch the aisles, the Dem side had better be silent and grave!

8. I think DIVIDED would be the best word.
...to describe the current state of our "union".

9. But how could that be? ~ We all KNOW he is a uniter not a divider
The US is more divided now than at any other time other than the civil war. Thanks Bush*. He has managed to unite the whole world against us though.

11. The SOTU speech will be his launching pad for total control
It will be full of lies and fear-mongering. He will tell people that the war on terror (can you be at war with an emotion?) is moving forward...that the economy is making a strong comeback...and that we got one of the masterminds behind 911 - Saddam. People will lap it up, the media will croon about what a great leader Bush is, and his ratings will jump by at least 10 points.

People don't want to hear the truth - they just want good news (even if it's a lie).

12. Yes, they want "good news"...
but "good news" is not good news. This admin is so obsessed with power that they have lied so often about "good news", ie, catching Saddam, WMD's et al ad nauseum, that people are craving good news; Real news. things that are truly happening in this nation and around the world that will bebefit peace and understanding.

The SOTU Address will be filled with the usual sugared up crap, and if the media ever grows stones again, people will get good news, they will get the truth.

13. I haven't been keeping up w/ the news...
so what's this thing about a SOTU address, what is its topic, and when is it? Forgive me for being ignorant, I just don't pay attention to the news during the holiday season.

14. Acronyms sometimes are confusing. It's the President's annual State of
the Union Speech given in January usually talking about how the Nation has done in the past year and where the President sees his policy heading in the next year.

You probably know that, but just passing it along.
