It is so embarrassing. Ripping off a tablecloth and pretending it is a fashion statement. How very embarrassing.

Check out the Reich Furor's salute. I suppose they are both going on "vacation " to the Crawford pig farm and will be in hiding away from their people for another week. Maybe there are no tablecloths in the Crawford pig farm ranch?

5. If she has a dressmaker or "designer" do you think she

would do that to Laura as a joke? I have to confess, when I was young I'd often cut up stuff from drapery material and other "household linen" like tablecloths and curtains to make clothes. I just wanted something different.

6. Back in the sixties . .

. . everyone had a couple of those. They were made in India and you could buy them at Cost Plus Imports for a few bucks.

They made the greatest bedspreads, covers for couches and chairs that had holes in them and shawls. They also made great doors for bedrooms that didn't have any - in houses and apartments that were shared by several of us hippies.

We always had some incense burning, candles burning, "The Doors" on the stereo - and of course we doused ourselves liberally with patchouli oil. I can smell it now.

You may be onto something there, Marianne. We'll have to keep track of this, and see what happens to her outfits the next time he makes disparaging comments about her (shouldn't have to wait too long, since he seems to think it's funny when he does that).
