Bush’s words were warm and effusive, as indeed they should have been given the rewards that await the US oil industry if sanctions are lifted. During the 1980s , US firms were producing one million barrels of Libyan oil per day and, according to a recent report, new technology could see this double. One firm which would benefit from this is the Halliburton Corporation, whose chief executive until recently was the US vice-president, Dick Cheney.

I've been trying to find out what this is all about but the last time I posted the question here nobody answered me.

in deffered payments to beat the IRS. So called insiders claim Dick wasn't very popular @ Haliburton though, so the company has little influence with the whitehouse...... If he was so damned unpopular, then why the hell did they give him a $14million "golden parachute" when he left for the VP job?... Illegal?... Just who is going to prosequte him?.... John Ashcroft? No, he's too busy with prayer meetings.
