3. Yes, classic example of the cost of lying.
If only the media would bother to point out the credibility issues...

10. Hasn't been in my home for 10+ years.
I won't even have it when we entertain. People either eat my vegetarian food or they can leave.

2. Try soyburgers, soy hot dogs, etc. Soyburgers
Try soyburgers, soy hot dogs, etc.

Soyburgers are probably in your supermarket's frozen food section.

Soy hotdogs are probably near the milk and juice cartons.

5. Soylent green burgers? Eating humans leads to kuru another
prion disease...

Here and now the US consumer stands with a need to know the truth, but in light of the lies about safety surrounding ground zero, we know that the government cannot be trusted.

Negligable risk...etc, etc. Ok, what the hell does that mean?
1 death, 10 death, 100 deaths? I mean we are talking about maybe 1/4 of the US population in the distribution area, and so 100 people die.
Maybe that is not significant.

12. Try eating some real vegies if you truly are a vegetarian.
Those who eat soyburgers and other fake meat substitutes are usually closet carnivores.

BTW I eat meat. I'd rather admit to it than be a self rightious phony.

4. Great point!
We have a liar in the White House. He sells his tax cuts as going to the lower brackets. He sells his favors to polluters as clean air initiatives. He sold his war on Iraq using WMDs and Al Qaeda links. He takes credit for Homeland Security when he opposed the idea. Bush and his bunch are just -- no varnishing it -- liars.

Do we expect the Japanese or anyone else to believe anything he says now?

11. Bear in mind that greed will ensure safety of the beef supply...
There are huge corporations that stand to lose billions if this isnt handled properly and trust regained in the export market. If they just stop feeding cows to cows this problem will go away. The "By product and bone meal" that is mixed with other feeds is apparently the problem.

Greed will fix it. Money has a way of doing that. After all, greed got Bush sElected and got us into the most oil rich nation in the world, didnt it?

13. Feeding pigs to cows is the problem
First my little soapbox ;-)

<soapbox>
Anyone asks why we need an intelligent president, just tell them so we have someone intelligent enougth to appoint an intelligent Sec. Of Agriculture, who will protect our health, not corporation's endless greed.
</soapbox>

Back to the subject -- I heard the Sec. of Agriculture say that it's ok, we don't feed cows to cows, we feed cows to pigs. And we can also feed pigs to cows.

Let's see, dumbshit Sec. of Agriculture, here we have a particular protein that not even incinerating will destroy, and you tell me it's ok to run it through the food cycle like this cow->pig->cow. Wow, that's absolutely amazing who'd a thought of that...

Turns out civilized countries recognized this problem correctly, and inspect every single cow (so I heard on BBC), because the only way to handle a indestructable chemical is to isolate it and contain it.

Boy oh boy is my blood boiling over this one!

14. Now Ephedra-What Will Tomorrow's Scary Story Be?
Let's take people's minds off the fact that the economy sucks, kids are dying everyday in Iraq and Osama is still at large. Let's instill fear of other things like what you eat, instead of what you should really be afraid of: BushCo.
