Lately a number of threads in the General Discussion forum regarding 9/11 have been closed and moved to other forums. I would really like to know why, because it seems that only controversial 9/11 threads are being singled out for movement, and have been for a while now.
Let's look at all the Issues forums:
Civil Rights/Equality/Privacy Economic Issues Environment/Energy/Science Foreign Affairs/National Security Health/Education/Social Policy Justice/Public Safety
If moderators are being consistent, then most of the threads in General Discussion right now should be moved to one of these forums, not to mention other forums like Bush/Conservatives/Conservatism. Mad cow disease discussions should certainly fall under Public Safety.
Why only 9/11? As I write this, there are three 9/11 threads on the first page of General Discussion that have been locked.
Could the General Discussion moderators please explain the rationale behind moving these threads, because I don't understand it.
The result is that 9/11 discussions are being stifled, because the 9/11 forum is actually just part of a sub-forum that few people ever find.
