4. Kerry a hero? I dunno about that :D
didn't he vote for IWR and PAtriot Act? and there's no way of knowing if he voted for the newer Patriot Act rules.

I'd rather have him than Bush as prez... but I don't know if I would go so far as to call him a hero. And what about Howard Dean? I love him... but what has he, or any of the other candidates done that is heroic?

I agree with the villians... but heros generally have to do something heroic. I also don't agree with Jessica Lynch. The people who got her out of there are probably heros. Or the Iraqi doctors who defied Saddam and notified the US military of her whereabouts are heros.

And Elizabeth SmarT? give me a break...

I guess the problem is, we have much more villians than heros. :(

8. Well, true but...
I like what Kerry said about Bush fucking up in Rolling Stone. That increased his stature in my eyes slightly. With Smart, she did survive months dealing with a fundamentalist freak and made it home.

9. yeah I like what Kerry said too...
but you gotta do more than drop an F bomb to get my vote... and while it's nice to talk the talk... Kerry hasn't been walking the walk (I'm referring to enabling Bush with IWR and PA).

7. Heroes of 2003
How is Elizabeth Smart a hero? She was a victim of circumstance and nothing more. Jessica Lynch was also a non-hero, just at the wrong place at the wrong time. The only women you have on the list that could possibly be called heroes are the Dixie Chicks for their stand on freedom of speech. If you can't find an actual female hero for 2003 you're not looking hard enough.

14. Jessica Lynch
Jessica Lynch never claimed to be a hero she was used by Bush* and
the Media. I would consider her a hero because she could have played
along with all the hype, but she told the truth instead.
