A new thing for C-Span doing a show with just Repugs fighting among themselves over Bush Big Govt.

1. It's interesting to see some "cracks" appearing in Repug Party. One

caller said that he supported spending on Terrorism, but wanted money spent on getting Manufacturing back in America.

I ususally look at c-span as pretty balanced, but over the holidays it did seem that there were plenty of righties on there. I don't want to sound like a lot of callers whining about why their side is not represented, but something does seem different. :argh:

3. Some interesting comments by callers:

caller said that he supported spending on Terrorism, but wanted money spent on getting Manufacturing back in America.

Another one "loved Bush as a Christian" but thought Iraq should pay back the 86 Billion.

Another one says Bush should stop "Pork Barrel Spending." Mentions "Iowa Rain Forest."

Another one "Loves Bush" but wished he had gotten more cooperation on Iraq.

Another one compares Bush to Stalin's Policies with "Homeland Security!"

4. Another caller saying too much spending on F-16 Fighter jets, because

this isn't like when we had the old "Soviet Union" as a threat.

Another caller mentioning Mexicans are coming working for half what Americans need to support families. Against illegal immigrants. Bush needs to do something.

Another one says our monetary policy should go back on "Gold Standard." He feels that our economy isn't strong.

I'm glad the lies are starting to show through, even to their own people.

I think it is interesting to hear the Repugs trashing their own country and president. I love seeing dissent on the other side.

And I do think this is an important issue that is being ignored by many - imagine, Republicans criticizing Bush.

CSPAN obviously tries to keep things balanced. And to provide various viewpoints and present things as they really are. I have no problem with this kind of thing. Especially if it gives the GOP enough rope to hang themselves.
