In how many countries are radical Islamists waging war?

Just today they burned 18 schools in Thailand. How many nations are they conducted violent campaigns? We always here about the major theaters of the international Islamofascist campaign, but what is the total number?

Aside from the corporatization aspect, Islamism resembles fascism. In place of race and nationalization Islamism subsitutes religion and nebulous transnational identities.

Nice try. I didn't say all Muslims. I was specifically referring to radical Islamists, who are a small fraction of Islamists, who are a small fraction of the Muslim population.

Nigeria is having terrible troubles.

In Sudan the Black Christian south is being depopulated by the Civil War's aftermath. Whole villages are devoid of men who have been either wiped out or taken into slavery by the Islamist forces of the north.

Many people automatically blame the US for any fights, but it's hard to see how it's Bush's fault in Sudan or Nigeria, although I'm sure someone will try.

The Philippines is facing an Islamist rebellion. Indonesia is fighting more moderate Islamists versus radical ones. Almost all the former Soviet 'Stan' nations are suffering from Islamist terrorism, as is Russia. Of course India has been suffering terrorism for generations.

France has seen a horrible rise in anti-semitism, including many synogogue bombings.

This is a world-wide phenomenon and sometimes I think it's just the continuation of a march that's been going on for 600 years. I wonder in my more depressed moods if 200 years from now we will truly be part of the Dar Es Salaam, the House of Peace, in an Islamic World.
Progressive politics would sure be a lot different in that world.

On the other hand, I'm a big Harry Turtledove fan and spend too much time trying to speculate into alternative futures.
