Both men pretended a situation existed which did not exist. I cannot help but wonder if Saddam deliberately allowed this war to happen, for reasons which we do not yet know. He has a history of prevailing under the worst of circumstances.

Two thugs, yes, two megalomaniacs. How did it all come to this ...

Before the war, Iraqui tv broadcast a meeting between Saddam and his top officials in which Saddam said he doesn't have weapons of mass destruction.

This was re-broadcast on American tv.
