NEW YORK - A design consisting of two reflecting pools and a large grove of trees was chosen for the World Trade Center memorial after an eight-month competition that drew more than 5,000 entries from around the world, officials announced.

is a lovely part of a really moving memorial park area.

I'm glad they're adding more trees...and making sure those rescue workers get their own "wall", or area of the "walls" there.

The reflecting pools are a very moving, peaceful touch.

To think, some idiots submitted designs with buildings taller than the WTC...so the terrorists won't have won...reminds me of all that 2001 'buy everything this holiday season or the terrorists will have won'! :puke:
