Anybody got a transcript of Nightline 6 Jan with Stuart Cohen?
I only caught the last ten minutes and I forgot to tape it.

Want to write an article that 1. our so-called "intelligence" had no information proven to be correct and 2. by his own inference, the war has made the US LESS SAFE since the WMD's (which the "intelligence" community insisted Iraq had) cannot be found--so who has them, eh?

The ABC / Nightline site has transcripts available but they cost 15 bucks and I don't want to wait for them to shipped etc.

Thanks . . .

3. If memory serves me right...
...that guy made some pretty empty and ridiculous statements. At one point I think he said something like it was feared that Saddam could produce a nuclear weapon "under certain conditions" and when asked what those conditions were he answered "if he got his hands on fissionable material". No shit. If someone gets his hands on nuclear material he can make a nuclear weapon. Who knew? At another point he started listing all these things that it was estimated that Saddam had. "Tons" of this, "tons" of that, x number of long range missiles, etc, and though we so far haven't found any of those things, this clown said that he wasn't surprised by the ESTIMATES!! Anyone can "estimate" any damned thing they want, its the realization of those estimates that is important. So the intelligence community isn't "surprised" by its OWN estimates. Big fucking whoop. Where do they find these people?
