CNN Poll: Did Bush lie about WMD to get us into Iraq?
An interesting poll at http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/anderson.cooper.360/ asks if Bush lied about WMD. Surprisingly enough, 90% believe he did. Perhaps we should tilt that number just a bit more.

3. WOW!
I played, lets see what happens. Did you hear the report this AM from someone who said it outloud that the information Bush* used was presented in the way he wanted it. I thought Hemmer was going to have a coronary. Made me go hmmmmmm.

5. The poll uses the euphemism "misrepresented," not "lied"
Big difference. Also, it says nothing about WMD, just "the threat."
"Do you believe the Bush administration misrepresented the threat from Iraq to justify a war?"

People are more comfortable acknowledging that he "misrepresented a threat" than that he "lied about WMD." Still it's good to see that it's so heavily weighted in favor of those who believe he misled us into war, that AWOL deserter bast***.

14. Even then...
89-11 is pretty good.

I think the other 11% have their head up their asses, but 89% know the truth at least.

the fraudulent basis for a war so early. Imagine if people knew about the lies behind the Gulf of Tonkin in 1964? It's absolutely stunning.

8. What is sad is it makes no difference to true-believers, the mainstream
media, and a largely apathetic public.

15. Yep. Many believed that Ronnie's attack on Grenada was bogus.
But it made no difference whatsoever in November 1984. Of course, Grenada was relatively painless...

20. Well, they aired the results...
89% to 11%.

Too bad, though--the only comment Anderson Cooper made was that there was an unusual level of traffic to the poll tonight. No editorializing...but the numbers speak for themselves. Thanks for your part, guys.

21. Front page poll
The poll on CNN's homepage on Thursday at 8pm EST:

"Do you feel you have been misled over the potential threat posed by Iraq's weapons program?"

I can't even vote, since I did not allow myself to be mislead. However, if I vote NO, it will appear that I support the invasion. What a stupid question. It should read:

"Do you feel THE AMERICAN PUBLIC have been misled over the potential threat posed by Iraq's weapons program?

Still, 74% said "YES".
