CNN.com poll: Was the war in Iraq justified if Iraq had no WMD program?

I think we all know the answer to this one, WMD "program" or not...but 38342 people so far seem to have voted Yes. We're holding a slim majority, but let's see how many votes we can throw in that direction.

18. That is so true. I read an article about wounded soldiers home from Iraq

and one of them was vehemently disputing the whole sad mess about the WMD lies and everything else - because he couldn't bear to see that he'd just gotten his leg blown off for nothing.

DENIAL. Denial runs deep. It's NOT just a cliche. People just DO NOT WANT to see the truth. It would hurt too badly and jar them out of their comfort zones too joltingly. They simply don't want to know about it.

Besides, to admit it was wrong - if you supported it - would be to admit you were duped. And NOBODY wants to admit that. Look at Lieberman, for heaven's sakes!

Some people will go to any lengths to avoid admitting they were wrong. We see that phenomenon at work in the White House RIGHT THIS MINUTE. For all that's gone down, and all that HAS been exposed, has anybody seen any heads rolling? Did anyone get fired? Nobody pays any price for failure among that shameless bunch because they do NOT acknowledge that they goofed. And they're just taking their cues on that score from their "fearless leader."

Just pretend you are incapable of thinking. You walk through life with headphones on, barely absorbing anything around you. You don't really hold an opinion on anything, except when people tell you to. You don't care enough to contradict most people, because you have no buffer of facts to withstand suggestion.

13. The question should have said if the Administration lied about

WMD instead of saying if they didn't have or pursue WMD. Either way though if a person analyzes the question it boils down to would you still support the war if it was based on lies. Remember they (Admin) all told us there was not only a program but actual weapons. So the question being what it is means if no WMD or Programs then it is all lies and that being the case would you still support the war and forty five percent would. Don't you just love America?
