New Hampshire attorney Paul R. Pudlowski spotted the “Old Man of the Mountain” in the smoke from a wildfire at Yellowstone National Park, during a family vacation. The ”Old Man” has been missing since the morning of Saturday, May 3, and presumed dead. Mr. Pudlowski gave the Gazette first rights to print the image because “the little guy deserves a break.”

Missing since the early morning hours of Saturday, May 3, New Hampshire’s famous “Old Man of the Mountain” has been presumed dead ever since. It now appears that the reports of his death were exaggerated.
