People you like at work - why? |

I have people I have a great time with at work, but don't think I would want them invited into my personal world. I'm not sure why, just don't want to.
Do you have people you like at work that you don't want to know better?

1. I get along with most everyone at my job. |

There are some that get on my nerves and that's fine. There are several nurses that I work with that are hardcore republicans and always say to me "I bet you vote democratic" based on the fact that I am a guy with long hair. Anytime I attempt to get them to talk about their political beliefs a medical emergency arises. Even so, I feel lucky because the people at work are generally okay, I don't think I detest anyone. That's a plus. Makes my life a little easier.

you are able to separate the need to get the job done from whatever else is rolling around you head. I have been having problems with that lately.

at the CA Dept of Insurance. My immediate boss is someone I worked for several years ago and the big guy, John Garamendi, is a visionary who will be governor in 2006. Who could ask for anything more?

Friendships require effort. The more intimate the relationship, the more work it requires to maintain it. There are only so many hours in a day that one can devote to the kind of caring, and family must take priority.
There are a great many acquaintances whom I like; but I'm very selective about my friends.
