Horror Movie from 1955-63

I watched a horror flick when I was about 6 or 7 in 1964/65.
It scared the crap out of me but I don't remember the name of it.
It was on a show on late night in Massachusetts, Boston area called Phantasmic Features. It was about some adventurers in the jungle who get caught by natives and are placed in trees and become "tree monsters" It was in black and white probably made 1957-1961 ??
Anyone know what this flick was ?
