happy anecdotal story...

A long time friend of mine had breakfast with his stepdad on Sat. Along with them were 6-7 other guys. The stepdad and his friends are all retired, mostly from defense contractors (GD, Bell) in the area. The all own rental properties (the main reason they meet Saturdays). They have all been conservative Reps for many years (but not forever, remember Dems in TX used to be conservative too).

The topic of politics came up, and my friend was happy to report that unanimously they were saying something like "I haven't voted for a Democrat in umpteen years but if they run Bush* again, I'm voting Dem no matter who they run". He said they spent several minutes grousing their disapproval.

Where do they find that 60% that approve of him, that's what I wanna know :)

It seems the only ones that still like bush are the media and the rite wing religious zealots who buy all that "God told him to do this" crap! :kick:
