Funny story about DU

[Breezy du Nord]

I get home last night from babysitting a 6,7, and 2 11 year-olds.

It was a rather wild night, I've begged their mother to stop leaving them Mountain Dew. The two younger girls got into a huge brawl, a regular catfight. So me and the older boys try to break it up and then the youngest one kicks her brother in the balls.

Anyway, it was a thoroughly exhausting night for me and I just wanted to come to DU before I went to bed.

Good lord, i thought I'd stumbled back on my babysitting job. People catfight, kicking each other in the balls, etc, etc.

Honestly, people, get some skin, will you! It's just an effin' post, it's notgoing to end the free world. Don't get so pissed if someone splurges money once, it shouldn't offend you. God, did they steal your money? Then quit being such pussies.

If the thread pissesd you off then don't enter the thread. it's as simple as that.

Seriously, folks, I've been lurking around DU for a long time and it seems like at this point we just might be above this.

1. Some of it can be funny

I've read here for two years, but I never used to post much. But here lately, since I got laid off, I've been reading more and even posting some. I've even gotten a shitty note from a moderator.

Some of these folks are worth a laugh, whether that's their intention or not. And some of it seems kind of childish, but for the most part this virtual community is a nice place to visit. I just feel like some of the hostility I see would make a more sensitive person than myself feel like Democrats must be mostly assholes. It's no wonder half of the electorate votes repug; just look at yourselves!
