Watchin' the news and Mr. Weatherguy is talking about 99 degree days.

He then reminds us we've had no rain for 3 weeks and they're keeping an eye on some storms which might give us rain if they hold together.

Here's my beef: This shallow tawdry (but really cute) nitwit talks about hope for our lawns and plants. Um, pardon me, but what about the crops? I've seen LOTS of shrivelling yellow, pathetic looking cornfields lately. Isn't food more fucking important than a goddamn patch of grass?!?!

Anyway, in the country they tend to talk more about the crops - in the more populated areas, the lawns.
