I hate this f*cking commercial

Saturn car commercial with people running around like dorks pretending to be cars, an old lady standing at stop signing, bunch of school kids chasing after their bus driver. And this fingernails on the chalkboard piano score than makes Phillip Glass sound like London Symphony Orchestra.

Any commercials drive you nuts?

It's what makes watching TV miserable sometimes these days. I would like to buy a Tivo to zap that shit out of my viewing habits.

But TV depends on commercials to exist. It's quite a mess.

Is the Stapls commercial, where the dad is back to school shopping and running down the isles singing "It's the most wonderful time of the year"....especially good today, as the kids started school!!! Great more time for DU!!!!

Overpowering and loud and just irritates me something fierce.

And the Dodge commercial - "Let us prove we've got the best...bla bla bla..." - whines that dude from the center of a showroom where people are just breaking out in tears cuz the deals are that good...

Does everybody get that one, I wonder, or is it regional - whatever, it gets on my damn nerves like hell.

Its these kinds of commercials - Toyota used to have the "hot hot hot" one - that make me absolutley DREAD going into a dealership. I don't appreciate being mentally clobbered in my own living room, I sure as hell don't want to see them in their natural habitat.

Can't they just tell us what the price is?

14. Car commercials..

Especially here in Texas, because they start every car commercial with the words "Here in Texas..", as though cars work differently from the other 49 states. I know I live in Texas (for now..) - just quietly tell me about the car, dammit!

I hate most car commercials. And beer commercials. Anything with a loud guitar or that nasty country music just makes me want to grab my shotgun and scatter a few shots into the tube. Bad music from the 70's with big-titty women in skimpy clothes just doesn't appeal to this big homo. That, and I don't drink.

And I hate the "Can You Hear Me Now" Guy. Someone please please shut him up. He needs to go far, far away. I don't wish violence on a person very often, but he brings me pretty close.

Heck, most cell phone commercials are just plain awful, and I refuse to award their companies for bad behaviour. Once they begin to behave like quiet adults on TV, I will consider utilizing their services. Even us 24-year-olds like peace and quiet.

17. I hate commercials in which numb-sounding narrators ask pseudo-profound

questions. There are a LOT of commercials like this. They usually have some pseudo-hip alternative rock playing underneath. They're usually for financial services, banks or life insurance. The questions are something like, "What does it take to make a dream come true?" That's when I reach for my revolver. :puke:

Can't even remember the brand (real effective commercial) but it somehow tries to connect the experience of buying a car to the joy you experience when you and your friends drive off and ditch a friend who was taking a restroom break behind a tree.
