Anyone seen "Open Range" yet?
I did over the weekend and liked it!
What was your opinion if you saw it?

1. Saw it Saturday. Liked it.
I give it 4.5 out of 5 popcorns.

2. I liked it. It was well-acted, but there was some excrutiating
dialogue in there; I thought Costner would have learned his lesson by now.

3. Didn't like it so much, forgot how bloody Westerns were
I'm writing a Metephysical-Western right now so I thought I should soak up some atmosphere. I was shocked at how bloody that movie was, of course it didn't help that I was in Cheyenne and a crowd of hicks were whooping (really, whooping, I'm not kidding) each time someone died and talking back to the characters.
Here's my "review" of the movie.
<http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=105&topic_id=110000> I guess I was thinking it was going to be more of a Makwon(sp) type movie.

4. ... Whooping huh?
... Good review remarks, but that "whooping": part got me laughing. I can just see the idiots doing that.

5. Twas a sad thing indeed
The first time they whooped it startled the heck out of me, of course the fact that someone just got shot in the head was unsettling as well.
I still can't believe people, not just one, but a few, actually whooped, it was really messed up. I guess after being in Eugene for a year I lost all my "western edge" so to speak. I'm not missing it though, I like people living. I like being entertained by non-violent thing. Oh well.
