3. You forgot Dan Ackroyd
His Jimmy Carter was priceless. And so was his Nixon, for that matter.

5. I added them both
I was going to add that I don't remember who did Reagan or Carter, but I'm glad you guys knew.

So, thus, it's added.

6. Ackroyd and Belushi
as Nixon and Kissenger, acting out the resignation eve scene...bwaaahahahaha. To this day when I read anything about that night - I picture Ackroyd and Belushi.

You probably aren't old enough to have seen it. Ackroyd as Nixon forcing Belushi as Kissenger to kneel and pray with him...hee hee hee

7. Will Farrel does the best shrub...
My favorite line was when he was hunting with dad (played by Dana Carvey). Papa Bush was trying to give him some advice but he was too busy trying to get a deer in his sights. Then he says:

"I got you now. There'll be no governor's reprieve for you this time Bambi."

Classic. I was rolling. :bounce:

8. Dana Carvey leaves the rest of the field waaaaaay behind
They can't compete. Hell, he even devolved some of Bush Sr's sayings into gibberish. What's funnier than hearing "Na Ga Da"? Dana Carvey is good...he's good!

9. I voted for Darrel Hammond as Bill Clinton
overall. But my favorite politcal skit is Will Farrel as GWB and Darrel Hammond as Al Gore when they meet up at a mexican food restaurant.

13. Best SNL Prez Skits Of All Time
Edited on Wed Aug-20-03 09:44 PM by devarsi
In no particular order...

1)Real Stories of the Arkansas Highway Patrol
Phill Hartman as Bill Clinton and Jan Hooks as Hillary Clinton.
The AHP go to the Governors mansion on a domestic abuse call, Bill has a blackeye, Hillary is drunk and hiding in the closet. The troopers try to convince Bill to press charges, tell him that Hillary will just beat him up again, Bill says "But she loves me..."

2)Nixon and Kissinger
Dan Akroyd as Nixon, Belushi as Kissinger
Nixon and Kissinger discuss resigning, then pray. Much funnier when watched than when discussed!

3)GHW Bush vs Dukakis Debate
Dana Carvy as Bush, Jon Lovits as Dukakis
Dukakis uses an elevated podium to square up to Bush, Bush babbles about "A thousand points of light, stay the course.." Dukakis mumbles "I can't believe I'm losing to this guy!"

4)GW Bush vs Gore Debate
Will Ferrell as GW, Darrell Hammond as Gore.
Everything! Lock boxes, Gore's sighing, eye rolling disgust with Bush, Bush's slaughter of the language, and of course "Don't mess with Texas!"

Also rans: Chevy Chase's Ford, talking to a stuffed dog; Akroyd's Carter discussing his sins of the heart; Carvy's Ross Perot on Halloween night, and Al Gore as himself with Leiberman in a hottub.

17. That's the only time you catch me voting for Reagan.
I just love the skit where Phil Hartman as R.R. ushers out his people so he can squeeze in a meet and greet with the girl who sold the most girl scout cookies, and the second she's left the room, everyone rushes back to their chairs and resume their secret meeting, RR barking out the orders.

I also love that Phil Hartman as Clinton when he's jogging and stops at the McDonalds, and eats everyone's food while explaining how warlords in Somlia are stealing the humanitarian aid.
